Oxford 111
Renovation of a house into a home
Area: 4300 sq.ft.
Interiors & Facade. November 2021
House 111, in Oxford Village, Wanowrie is a part of a gated community of villas of beige and brown. A trendsetter in minimal grey and white, this villa has undergone extensive renovation both inside and out. Finished in textured paint and cool concrete cladding on the outside, the interiors exude neutral tones.
Keeping in mind the 'vastu' of the space of spatial changes in entries, areas and planning with a lavish double height living room and an entry enclosed by a porch and then a pergola, this house makes for a grand entrance.
On the ground floor, the living room is flanked by a car park on one end and den and outdoor seating on another. The car park and the den are accessed by two separate gates giving privacy to both areas.
A family room and powder room are attached to the den making it a perfect space to entertain guests. A modern puja space stays tucked at the other end of the living room offering it privacy when needed.
The first floor houses the son's, daughter's and the guest bedrooms along with kitchen and dining. A reeded glass partition finished in wood connects the dining and living visually, while also offering privacy when needed.
The second floor has the master bedroom with an attached terrace. Flanked by a yoga room and utility area on either side.
